Nimbus checking out my new needle case

Originally uploaded by The Woolley Farm.

Look at what I got from Brian over at Briley Knits! He made this one for me and a purple one for Dagny. He sewed it himself. I love it! Up till now, I just threw all my needles in a drawer. What a mess. Now I feel very special as I unroll my case and select my needles & hooks. I love the lime green cover—very 60s, which of course was my era to do tie-die tee-shirts, wear lime green mini-skirts and be a hippie. Among other things best left unsaid in the presence of my kids & grandkids….

Anyway, I digress….. I’m just so happy I have my own needlecase and I don’t have to sell it. I get to keep it! Thanks Brian!!

Little Lambs & Jacob sheep

I know, I know — those aren’t really Jacob sheep, but they almost look like them, don’t ya think? With those black & white spots? And it says FARM all over the flannel as well… which of course is perfect for me as I think FARM, LAMB, WOOL, and KNIT are the bestest ever 4 letter words!

Nimbus

Nimbus loves to sit up high on all the pillows. Reminds me of The Princess & The Pea! Nimbus is a recent rescue. He’s 12 years old, was all matted & half blind, and had most of his teeth pulled as they were all rotting. Yuck! His former owners said he didn’t like children & men and they would ’smack him’ and ‘yell at him’ for barking or being nervous. Now he’s loving being with Brandon and the grandkids, has gained 4 pounds, and sleeps on the bed with us. He has a great wardrobe of little sweaters and loves his bath and being brushed. He may be old, but he gives us lots of love & kisses and is quite the feisty little old man.
