This winter I spun up some very colorful yarn and some Corriedale from our 1st sheep Surely (yes, that is indeed how we spell her name), using a Fiber Trend pattern. They were wonderful once felted and I adorned them with celtic clasps. I wore holes in the heels and needed to fix them, so I found an old ski sweater, felted it down, and cut off the sleeves to make slipper bottoms. I’ll save the body of the sweater to make a tote bag for next winter. Not the prettiest job of sewing, but I am able to wear them again and run & slide on the hardwood floors. Which is such fun, no matter how old ya get.

It all happened so fast. A reporter from the local Norway Me paper took Homers pic and ran it on the front page asking for someone to adopt him. We were flooded with calls and yesterday Andrea Lane, the Principal at Sebago Elementary school, came & picked him up. Andrea has raised Romneys and brought her photo album of her farm and sheep pics, so I could see what a good home Homer will get. While we were chatting, Homer crawled up into her lap and fell asleep. He was still in her arms when they drove off, with his little face peering out the window. I miss the little guy…. But we can’t keep them all, I tell myself. Still….. I miss him.
