Well, now I feel bad. My first WIP shared with all of you was one that had NO, count that as ZERO, stitches on the needles. That’s not a WIP, it’s a WNIP (insert the word ‘not’ in the 2nd position). So here’s one that I’ve had ‘in progress’ since Jesus was a boy for quite a while.
This is a shawl in kit form that I need to make a sample of. I thought it up all myself and I’m so proud of me. It took hours & hours to pick the right color combos and right textures. This was a HUGE amount of fun and kept me occupied and ‘on task’ for a very long time. This was BEFORE I had ever heard of Ab-Fabs. Yup, that’s right. I had the same idea, just 15 years too late to cash in on it.
This huge ball of yarn includes about 10 different skeins, all wound in one continous thread. I’d wind a few dozen yards, break the thead and tie on another one, then repeat. It’s fun to knit, as I never know what’s coming up next for yarn. I’ve got some other colorways sitting in bags, but for some reason, this is the one I’ve chosen as the example. Which is strange, as I am NOT an orange person. Red, yes, but more blue/green/teal. This shawl screams very loudly at me “Finish me! Right now! What’s WRONG with you? I’m so easy, just DO IT”. Very loud screams. I’d better put it back in the bag right quick-like-a-bunny.
